Our Story

Family biz. No bs. Young crew. Love what we do.

Carroll Electric was built around a simple belief: customers deserve honest communication, quality workmanship, and an electrician they can trust. As a family-owned company with a young, passionate team, we're committed to making every project straightforward—from the first phone call to the final walkthrough.

We don't believe in confusing estimates or unnecessary upselling. We believe in showing up when we say we will, keeping our work clean, and doing every installation the right way.

“We'd rather lose a job to an honest number than win one with a vague one.” Tyler Carroll — Manager & Founding Member

Whether it's a panel upgrade, remodel rewire, EV charger installation, commercial project, or troubleshooting a difficult issue, every job receives the same attention to detail, craftsmanship, and respect.

We're proud to be a local family business serving our community with transparency, professionalism, and electrical work built to last.

What We Stand For.

Carroll Electric exists to provide high-quality electrical work while creating a customer experience built on transparency, communication, reliability, and craftsmanship. These principles guide every decision, from the first phone call to the final walkthrough.

01

Transparency

Our rates are published on this website. You approve a written number before any work begins, and permits and parts are passed through at cost with the receipt attached.

02

Communication

Calls and messages answered the same working day. If we find something unexpected behind the wall, you get a phone call before we spend another dollar of your money.

03

Reliability

We hold the date we gave you. Licensed, bonded and insured, permits pulled where they're required, and we meet the inspector ourselves rather than leaving it to you.

04

Craftsmanship

Labelled circuits, dressed conductors, and a panel directory you can read at 6am. We photograph what goes behind the drywall so there's a record long after we've gone.

Why us

Good wiring is the minimum.

Any licensed electrician can land the job to code. What people remember is everything around it — whether you called back, showed up when you said, and left the place clean.

01

Priced up front

Rates are on this website. You approve a written number before we start.

02

We pick up

Calls and messages answered same day. You always know who is coming and when.

03

An owner on the job

An owner is on site or a phone call away on every project. No account manager in between.

04

Photographed work

Real photos of your job, not stock images of someone else's. You see what went in.

05

Everything in writing

Itemised quotes, permits filed, inspections logged, invoices you can actually read.

06

Tidy panels

Labelled circuits, dressed conductors, a directory you can actually read at 6am.

07

Current tools and methods

Thermal imaging and circuit tracing find the fault instead of guessing at the drywall.

08

You know it's us

Marked van, branded shirts, and the same crew each visit. No mystery truck in the drive.

09

Straight answers

If a repair will hold another five years, we'll tell you that instead of selling a rewire.

What to expect

How a job actually runs.

The same nine steps every time — on a single outlet or a whole-house rewire. You should never have to chase us to find out what happens next.

Before we start
  • 01 First call

Tell us what's not working. We'll say straight away whether it's something we do.

  • 02 Scheduling

We book a date that suits you and confirm it in writing. No four-hour windows.

  • 03 Written estimate

An itemised quote — labour, materials, permits — before anything begins.

On the day
  • 04 Arrival

Marked van, on time, and a text when we're on the way. You'll know who's coming.

  • 05 Installation

Work done to code, permits pulled, and photos taken before anything is closed up.

  • 06 Cleanup

Offcuts, packaging and dust taken with us. The site is left the way we found it.

After
  • 07 Inspection

We meet the inspector ourselves and clear the permit. You don't have to be involved.

  • 08 Invoicing

One itemised invoice matching the quote, with receipts for materials attached.

  • 09 Follow-up

Photos of the finished work sent through, and we're a phone call away after that.

And throughout: you hear from us.

Calls and messages answered the same working day. If we find something unexpected behind the wall, you get a phone call before we spend another dollar of your money — not a line item on the invoice afterwards.

WHO WE WORK WITH

Houses, Job Sites & Commercial Buildings

Same licensed electricians. Same transparent pricing. Tailored solutions for homeowners, builders, property managers and businesses.

Our Work

The stuff behind the drywall.

We photograph every job as we go — partly so you have a record of what's in your walls, partly because clean work is worth showing.

View all projects  →

Every job gets photographed as we go. If you want to see work like yours before you commit, ask and we'll send you the closest match we've done nearby.

Our Guarantee

Four promises we put in writing.

A low number is easy to say. These are the commitments that come attached to it, on every service upgrade and panel swap we do.

Power back within 6 hours

Your power is out for a maximum of six hours on the day of the swap. We plan the shutdown around your schedule.

Inspection passed in 5 days

We meet the inspector ourselves and clear the permit within five business days of finishing.

Extra work at no charge

Any additional install or relocation the upgrade makes necessary is done free of charge. Not billed as a change order.

We match any honest bid

Bring us a written quote and we will meet it at minimum. In most cases we come in 25 to 50 percent lower.

Bonus
A free small install or troubleshoot with every upgrade. A new light fixture, dimmers, outlets, or a fault you have been meaning to chase down — while we are already on site.

Awesome local business with outstanding customer service. I recently experienced a power outage during the recent Seattle heat wave, and Carroll Electric was the only company I contacted that prioritized my situation and had a technician at my home within the hour. Truly impressive responsiveness and professionalism. Highly recommend!

Carroll Electric has been helping my wife and I to update our condo. Cam has diagnosed and corrected several problems so far that had me stumped! It is nice to have access to a contractor that I can trust. Expert knowledge, professional service and quality workmanship all combine for a great experience!

Common questions

Asked and answered.

If yours isn't here, call — we'd rather talk it through than have you guess.

Do you charge for an estimate?

No. We come out, look at the job, and send a written quote at no cost. Diagnostic work — where the job is finding the fault — is billed hourly, and we tell you that before we start.

How do I know my panel needs upgrading?

Common signs are breakers that trip under normal load, a fuse box rather than breakers, no room left for new circuits, or a brand with a known recall. Send us a photo of the inside of your panel door and we can usually tell you straight away.

Do you pull permits?

Yes, on any work that requires one, and we meet the inspector ourselves. The permit fee is passed through at cost on your invoice.

Can the quote change once you've started?

Only if we find something that wasn't visible at the walkthrough — old knob-and-tube in a wall, say, or an undersized service. If that happens we stop, call you, and price the change before doing the work.

Which areas do you cover?

North Seattle and the north-end suburbs: Lake City, Green Lake, Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, Kenmore, Bothell, Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood. Just outside that? Call and ask.

Are you licensed, bonded and insured?

Yes — Washington license CARROELC982BD, bonded and fully insured. We'll send a certificate of insurance on request, which contractors and property managers usually want on file.
